Recordings from the Mountain Music Shindig Tape Club, edited by Robert Ladd. The tapes are samplers of bluegrass, country, and old-time music, often corresponding with the new releases of LPs on related record labels. The tapes include live concerts and interviews with musicians, including narratives about the Renfro Valley Barn Dance in Kentucky, and interviews with cowgirl singer Patsy Montana, early country music singer Vernon Dalhart, bluegrass musicians Charlie Monroe and Ralph Stanley, fiddler Sid Harkreader, and country and gospel singer Lee Moore.
